The Bachelor of Psychology program at the University of Health Sciences (Hamidiye Faculty of Life Sciences) is a full-time, 4-year undergraduate program taught entirely in Turkish. Its aim is to train future psychologists who are equipped with essential scientific knowledge, research skills, and professional competencies grounded in ethical principles. The curriculum covers a broad spectrum of psychological theory and practice, ensuring students gain a comprehensive foundation in both core concepts and practical applications. Students are expected to complete a minimum of 240 ECTS credits over eight semesters (30 ECTS per semester), focusing on areas such as human development, psychological assessment, research methods, cognitive and behavioral sciences, and applied psychology. The program is designed to cultivate analytical thinking, scientific inquiry, and cultural sensitivity in its graduates. Upon completion, graduates are awarded the title of 'Psychologist,' with strong career prospects in health centers, rehabilitation facilities, educational institutions, research organizations, and various private and public sector roles that require expertise in psychological science. The degree is widely recognized and fulfills qualification criteria set within the Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework (TYYÇ Level 6), facilitating graduates' access to both professional roles and further academic study (master’s and PhD level) in Turkey and abroad.
