The Bachelor of Psychology (Turkish) program at the University of Health Sciences, Hamidiye Faculty of Life Sciences, focuses on equipping students with a solid foundation in theoretical and practical aspects of psychology. The curriculum is aligned with the Bologna Process, ensuring it meets the 6th Level of the Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework. Over eight semesters (four years), students are trained in conducting research relevant to psychological practice, with an emphasis on scientific thinking, sensitivity to ethical principles, and social responsibility. The program covers a variety of core topics, including general psychology, research methodology, developmental psychology, clinical psychology, and applied psychology. Students participate in lectures, seminars, and practical applications, benefitting from an academic staff experienced in both Turkish and international contexts. Upon graduation, students are awarded the title of 'Psychologist', qualifying them for diverse roles in health centers, community mental health institutions, rehabilitation centers, and corporate human resources. Graduates are also well-prepared for further studies and research in both national and international postgraduate psychology programs. The degree aims to meet the growing demand for qualified psychologists in Turkey who can contribute meaningfully to individuals, organizations, and society.
