The Bachelor of International Relations (English) at Istanbul Okan University is designed to equip students with comprehensive skills and insights to understand contemporary international affairs. The program recognizes that international relations today extend beyond interactions between states to affect every sphere of life, including economic, legal, and political relations that shape daily experiences. The interdisciplinary curriculum addresses conventional political science subjects like state and inter-state dynamics, and expands to cover international organizations, multinational corporations, supranational relations, and global governance. Courses are regularly updated to reflect the rapidly changing global environment. Students are encouraged to develop critical thinking, research, and analytical skills through interactive learning, seminars, conferences, and multimedia resources. Graduates are prepared for diverse careers in ministries (including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs), international institutions such as the United Nations, World Bank, and European Union, as well as public and private sector roles in research centers, banks, companies, and NGOs.
