The Bachelor of Civil Engineering (English) at Cyprus Aydın University is a four year undergraduate engineering program designed to educate skilled professionals capable of planning, designing, constructing, and managing infrastructure and structural projects in accordance with international engineering standards. The program combines strong theoretical foundations with applied technical training to prepare graduates for responsible roles in the construction and infrastructure sectors.
During the first years of study, students develop a solid background in mathematics, physics, engineering mechanics, materials science, and technical drawing. These courses establish analytical thinking and scientific understanding essential for advanced civil engineering applications.
As the program progresses, students study core subjects such as structural analysis, reinforced concrete design, steel structures, geotechnical engineering, soil mechanics, transportation engineering, hydraulic engineering, environmental engineering, construction management, and earthquake engineering. Emphasis is placed on structural safety, sustainability, cost efficiency, and compliance with modern building regulations.
Laboratory sessions and project based coursework are integral components of the curriculum. Students gain practical experience in material testing, structural modeling, soil analysis, and construction planning using contemporary engineering software and analytical tools. The English medium instruction enables students to engage with international engineering literature and global technical standards.
Graduates may pursue careers in construction companies, engineering consultancy firms, infrastructure development projects, transportation authorities, environmental agencies, and research institutions. They may work as structural engineers, site engineers, geotechnical specialists, project engineers, or continue postgraduate studies in civil engineering and related fields.
