The Bilgi Güvenliği Teknolojisi (Information Security Technology) Associate Degree Program at Beykoz University is designed as a 2-year (four-semester) curriculum, accepting students through the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT) score. The program addresses the growing importance of safeguarding digital assets by covering fundamental and advanced concepts such as the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. Students receive both theoretical instruction and hands-on practical training with a curriculum structured around the '3+1 Model': three semesters focused on core and specialization courses, and one semester dedicated to industry internships. Core subjects include algorithm development, programming, operating systems, network technologies, cryptography, cyber defense strategies, secure software development, penetration testing, and digital forensics. By the end of their studies, students are prepared for various roles such as system security specialists, IT specialists, system support specialists, and network consultants, in both private and public sector organizations. Graduates are also eligible for vertical transfer to related bachelor’s programs. The program is recognized by Turkey’s Higher Education Council and aims to meet the labor market demand for specialized cybersecurity professionals, responding to organizational needs in information technology, computer programming, and broader information security domains.
