The Associate of Computer Technologies (English) at Istanbul Aydın University is a two year vocational higher education program designed to train technical specialists who can install, manage, and maintain computer systems and information technology infrastructure. Offered within the Vocational School and accredited by YÖK, the program focuses on practical technical skills and applied knowledge in computing technologies. The curriculum begins with foundational courses in computer hardware, operating systems, basic programming, network fundamentals, and information technologies. Students develop a solid understanding of computer architecture, system components, and software installation processes. As the program progresses, students study network management, server systems, database fundamentals, cybersecurity basics, cloud technologies, and system administration. Emphasis is placed on configuring hardware, troubleshooting software issues, maintaining network infrastructure, and ensuring system security. Students gain hands on experience in laboratory environments where they assemble computer systems, configure networks, manage servers, and apply security measures. The English medium instruction strengthens their ability to follow international technical documentation and operate in global IT environments. Internship opportunities allow students to gain practical experience in IT departments, technology companies, telecommunications firms, and service providers. These internships provide exposure to real system management and technical support processes. Graduates pursue careers as IT support specialists, network technicians, system administrators, technical support staff, and hardware maintenance technicians. They may work in corporate IT departments, service companies, educational institutions, and technology firms. Many graduates continue their education through vertical transfer to bachelor’s programs in computer engineering, software engineering, or related disciplines.
