The Associate of Civil Aviation Management (English) at Istanbul Aydın University is a two year vocational higher education program designed to educate qualified professionals for administrative and operational roles in the civil aviation sector. Offered within the Vocational School and accredited by YÖK, the program prepares graduates to work in airlines, airports, ground handling companies, and aviation related organizations.
The curriculum provides foundational knowledge in civil aviation operations, air transport management, airport management, aviation law, airline marketing, aviation security, and passenger services. Students gain an understanding of the structure of the aviation industry, international aviation regulations, and the operational processes of airlines and airports.
Courses also cover airline management, flight operations coordination, aviation safety procedures, customer relations in air transport, cargo operations, and basic logistics in aviation. Emphasis is placed on service quality, communication skills, and operational efficiency within airport and airline environments.
Students develop practical competencies in ticketing systems, reservation procedures, ground services coordination, passenger handling, and basic operational planning. The English medium instruction enhances their ability to work in international aviation settings where English is the primary communication language.
Internship opportunities allow students to gain hands on experience at airports, airline offices, and aviation service providers. These internships provide exposure to real aviation workflows and customer service environments.
Graduates pursue careers as passenger service agents, ground handling staff, airline operations assistants, cargo operations officers, ticketing and reservation agents, and airport administrative personnel. They may work in airlines, airport management companies, travel agencies, and aviation service organizations. Some graduates continue their education through vertical transfer to bachelor’s programs in aviation management or related fields.
