The Bachelor of Dentistry (English) at Cyprus Aydın University is a five year professional undergraduate program designed to educate competent, ethical, and internationally trained dental surgeons equipped with advanced clinical skills and strong scientific foundations. The program combines comprehensive theoretical education with intensive preclinical and clinical training, preparing graduates to diagnose, prevent, and treat oral and dental diseases in accordance with international healthcare standards. During the first years of study, students build a solid biomedical foundation through courses in anatomy, histology, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical ethics. These subjects provide the scientific basis required for understanding systemic health and its relationship to oral conditions. As the program progresses, students receive specialized dental training in restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, periodontology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, oral diagnosis and radiology, implantology, dental materials science, and preventive dentistry. Preclinical laboratory training allows students to develop manual dexterity and procedural precision before treating patients. Clinical education constitutes a major component of the curriculum. Under faculty supervision, students treat real patients in university dental clinics, performing examinations, treatment planning, fillings, root canal treatments, extractions, prosthetic restorations, periodontal therapy, and preventive procedures. Emphasis is placed on infection control, patient communication, ethical responsibility, and evidence based clinical decision making. The English medium instruction enables students to access international scientific literature and prepares them for global professional environments. Graduates are awarded the title of Dentist and may pursue licensure according to national regulatory requirements.
