The Bachelor of Philosophy and Religion at Marmara University is one of the oldest and most well-established programs in the Faculty of Theology. The program offers an interdisciplinary curriculum through its eight main departments: History of Philosophy, Islamic Philosophy, Philosophy of Religion, Logic, History of Religions, Sociology of Religion, Psychology of Religion, and Religious Education. Students explore the historical development of philosophical thought, major trends in Islamic and Western philosophy, the nature of religion, the interplay between reason and revelation, the origins of various creeds, and the contemporary social role and education of religion. The curriculum employs methodologies from philosophy, sociology, logic, psychology, and education to give students a multidimensional perspective on religion and philosophy. Graduates are equipped for academic careers, teaching in religious education, or roles in social research, publishing, and cultural institutions. The degree aims to foster critical thinking, ethical understanding, and cross-cultural analytical skills needed for philosophical and theological professions.[1]
