The Bachelor of Biosystem Engineering at Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University is a four-year undergraduate program conducted in Turkish. Established in the 2021-2022 academic year, the program integrates fundamental engineering principles with agricultural sciences to prepare students for the challenges of sustainable food security, agricultural energy systems, irrigation, and rural infrastructure. The curriculum is structured so that the first two years are dedicated to core engineering subjects (such as mathematics, physics, and introductory engineering courses), while the latter two years focus on specialized agricultural topics. Courses enable students to gain expertise in areas such as agricultural machinery, water management, greenhouse design, and livestock shelter planning. Graduates of this program have diverse career prospects, including employment in the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the State Hydraulic Works, rural development agencies, and private-sector agricultural technology firms. The program is designed to meet the industry's demand for professionals capable of integrating technological advancements with sustainable practices in agriculture and natural resource management, positioning graduates for roles in both public and private sectors related to biosystems, environmental planning, and infrastructure.
