Yeditepe University’s Faculty of Dentistry is renowned as the first faculty of dentistry among Turkey’s foundation (private) universities and is recognized for combining rigorous academic education with advanced clinical practice. The program aims to educate modern, innovative, research-oriented dentists who embody contemporary values and uphold professional ethics. Students spend the initial years in preclinical training using state-of-the-art Simulator Laboratories and robotic patients, transitioning to hands-on clinical practice with real patients in later years. The curriculum includes both theoretical coursework covering fundamental dental sciences as well as comprehensive practical training in areas such as oral surgery, restorative dentistry, periodontology, prosthodontics, orthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Students are also exposed to research opportunities and doctoral education within the faculty. Upon graduation, students earn the title of General Dentist (DDS), equipping them for direct practice or further specialization in Turkey or abroad. Dentistry graduates from Turkish universities are broadly recognized internationally, offering career prospects in hospitals, clinics, research, and academia. The faculty is noted for its strong research focus, comprehensive facilities including modern operating rooms and recovery units, and adherence to high standards of sterilization and patient care.[4]
