The Associate of Electroneurophysiology program at Istanbul Aydin University is a two-year, practice-oriented vocational program that prepares students to become skilled electroneurophysiology technicians. The curriculum focuses on measuring and recording the electrical activity of the brain (using techniques such as EEG), peripheral nerves (using EMG/NCS), and supports comprehensive training in neurodiagnostic procedures. Students acquire theoretical knowledge and substantial practical experience, including internships, to operate and maintain neurodiagnostic equipment. The program trains graduates to work closely with physicians by collecting and interpreting neurophysiological data critical for diagnosing disorders of the nervous system. Typical areas of employment include electroencephalography, electromyography, evoked potential, and sleep laboratories (polysomnography units) in both public and private hospitals or clinics, under supervision of neurologists, psychiatrists, or other relevant specialists. Graduates may also pursue further education through vertical transfer to related bachelor's degree programs, such as Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Nursing, or Health Services, subject to exam scores (DGS). The program aims to produce graduates capable of adopting technological advancements, emphasizing continuous learning and professional development in a rapidly evolving medical field.
