The Bachelor of Architecture (English) at Cyprus Aydın University is a four year undergraduate program designed to educate creative and technically competent architects capable of designing functional, sustainable, and aesthetically strong built environments. The program integrates architectural theory, design practice, engineering knowledge, and digital technologies to prepare graduates for professional practice in the field of architecture.
During the first years of study, students build a strong foundation in architectural design principles, drawing techniques, architectural history, construction materials, building technologies, mathematics, and structural fundamentals. These courses develop spatial thinking, visual communication skills, and technical understanding.
As the program progresses, students focus on advanced architectural design studios, urban design, sustainable architecture, environmental systems, building physics, construction detailing, structural systems, computer aided design, and digital modeling technologies. Emphasis is placed on creative problem solving, functional planning, sustainability, and user centered design.
Studio based learning forms the core of the curriculum. Students work on design projects ranging from residential buildings to public and mixed use structures, developing concepts, preparing architectural drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation. The English medium instruction enables students to engage with international architectural literature and global design standards.
Graduates may pursue careers in architectural firms, construction companies, urban planning offices, design studios, and public institutions. They may work as architectural designers, project coordinators, construction supervisors, or continue postgraduate studies in architecture, urban design, or related fields.
